Meet the astonishing photographer, Danish Khan, from Islamabad Pakistan!

Don McCullin, the world famous photojournalist beautifully expressed the photography as:

“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.”

And whenever I read those words, I really feel them, how beautifully and wisely he defined the true essence of photography in a few words. There are a very few photographers who have been able to make their mark up to that level and my dear readers Mr. Danish Khan is one of them. His photography is a message that will make you believe that you can find something beautiful in every ordinary place, in every ordinary thing. He was originally an Electrical Engineer but his passion towards Arts could not stop him from getting into the photography. After graduation eventually, he changed his profession from the technical side to photography and videography. Now he is a full-time cinematographer in a production house.

So I interviewed Mr. Danish who is a traveler with a camera in his hands dedicated to showing the world unseen beauties. Here is what he told us about his passion in the interview.

1. What does photography mean to you?

Photography is an art and is a way of expressing yourself. Through photography, you can inspire others, aware people, by portraying a real side of the world, and an appreciation of beautiful things around you.

3. What first drew you to photography and how did you discover it as your passion?

Before photography, I used to paint. But the process itself is very time consuming, and you need to be in a specific mood to draw/paint something. One of my good friend Bilal, he is an amazing photographer. His travel and street photography always inspired me and deep down I told myself
'One day I’ll capture pictures like Bilal.

The list of photographers I think is so long, but these are the categories that inspire me the most i.e. travel, street, landscape, and aerial photography.

6. What are some tips that you would like to share with the beginners in photography?

The best camera in the world is what you have in your hand. Experiment as much as you can to find your niché. Make your identity with your style of work. Be inspired by photographers around you and ask them about their process. Last but not the least do collabs.
